Hidden gem, get the square Sicilian type pizza. Dough takes 2 days to rise and the extra care is worth it, then cheese then sauce for an upside down pizza. 5/5 pizza. The spumoni type ice cream is.. well it's different, very close to an Italian ice. Not posssible to rate it is unique and the reason for the horse and wagon as that is how it all started. Iconic location very near where the French connection chase scene and I think Person of Interest apartment block? Maybe but we are near Coney Island

I ordered online for pick up. The service was great and the restaurant was bigger than what it seemed. The food was excellent. The ambiance looked really nice and casual.

Stopped in on Sunday, after trip to Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It had been over a decade since I'd been here. It was as good as I remember. We had time to sit in the indoor dining room - nicely decorated, warm friendly atmosphere, EXCELLENT service. We ordered garlic bread (fresh, lots of fresh garlic); ravioli (plump, evenly sauced); the classic square pie. I'd said for years that L&B is my favorite pizza of all time - the square pie is the reason why. Plump yeast dough, which is lightly crisped on bottom and edges, topped by mozzarella right on the dough, tangy sauce, followed by sprinkled parm - really, nothing compares to this, it's so good! IMHO, every bite is perfect. We followed dinner with the classic spumoni - also perfect, even layers of pistachio, chocolate, vanilla. On the way out we saw many folks enjoying slices to go from the take out window. Great vibe. Parking can be found in the lot, or in the surrounding neighborhood.

A timeless New York City institution, serving up the best Sicilian pizza and homemade Spumoni you'll ever eat. Located deep in Brooklyn, visiting may be a trek, but well worth the journey. L&B Spumoni Gardens is a 5th generation family owned business, established by Italian immigrant Ludovico Barbati in 1939. The man used to sell his pizza and frozen desserts out of a horse drawn wagon before opening the now iconic restaurant. Today, you can opt to sit inside, or order from one of the takeout windows. You can only buy singular slices here. Despite it being the middle of winter, I saw families sitting outside eating whole pies in 40 degree weather. Unless you're here alone, get a whole pie; you will not regret it. The pizza is Sicilian or "upside down" style, meaning the cheese goes on first, and is topped with flavorful fresh marinara. The crust is thick and doughy, with a buttery, crisp exterior. 10/10, one of my favorite pizzas in the world. You did not come here if you didn't try the Spumoni. L&B's is chocolate, false flavor pistachio, and cremolata, swirled and frozen together into a remarkably good ice cream. Their house made Tiramisu and Italian ices were nice too, but next time I'll just opt for an extra large Spumoni. Service from the guys at the pizza walk up window was terrible (they straight up forgot to make our order until 30 mins after we had paid and waited in the cold) but who cares. I already can't wait to come back.

Can a respected Pizzeria ace delivery? I was skeptical due to eating their famous Sicilian Slice always IRL. Visiting mom again in Canarsie I ordered the Sicilian Square pie and Baked Ziti. The delivery was on point and the pizza survived the long trek from Bensonhurst to Canarsie! So far so good!!! Then the true test, first bite of the square from all family members.. Verdict? Yummmmmmm! We all agreed the corner slice is the best; slightly burnt and crisp! The baked ziti was good just needed more sauce, a tad dry. The potion is generous for $17. Great to know that L and B Spumoni delivers to Canarsie! **review delivery only read my previous IRL review follow follow !

L&B is a Brooklyn legend. Not much else to say here except the pizza is absolutely delicious. So are the homemade ice creams. We split a pie of the OG for 4 people and it was perfect. Each got 3 slices each. The sauce is delicious and the corners are perfectly crispy. I didn't try the Spumoni ice cream but everyone really enjoyed it. I got the soft serve small ice cream and it was hugeeeee.

It's been 4 years since my last visit to L&B Spumoni's. I took my boyfriend here when we first started dating and funny enough it was him who really wanted to come back. I Thankfully the taste is just the same as it was years ago. The outdoor seating was perfect last Tuesday as it wasn't really cold. And the service was semi okay. I just felt bad that my boyfriend felt embarrassed as they called our name for the pickup but they had the box for the person after us in their hand and my boyfriend was pissed. Next time, maybe call the persons name when the pizza is actually ready.
